Engagement Session

I had so much fun capturing this engagement and family portraits session ! It was humid summer evening so not very ideal to dress up with these super formal kimono as it gets uncomfortably hot. However everyone was so patient and open to this cultural journey of dressing up in Furisode and Haori Hakama ! I am so glad to be part of this special moments ! Good luck on wedding day in the Autumn !

Traditional Baby celebration

I had wonderful time capturing this baby and family session. Omiyamairi is special tradition in Japan to celebrate baby’s health and bright prospects. Small kimono is worn by baby and one of the family.

It was hot summer evening and we were fighting with mosquitoes entire time ! We all tried hard to let baby good mood. I think he did great job ! I am so honored to be part of this celebration.

( Session date : July 13th, 2021 )

We see the lights …

Ontario has entered step 1 of re-opening plan and it seems that next stage will start soon ! We are so hopeful that our photography business can be resumed after step 2. During stay-home-order our activities were extremely limited so I tried to do the best I can by educating myself, practicing, planning, etc to improve skills for photography. And I can not wait to apply all what I learn !

Please let me know if you would like a session at CorgiMark in the near future. We can start planning together !

Stay home again …

Ottawa went in 3rd lock-down after Covid became worse. My studio was opened a short-while and now it is closed again. But I am thankful that I am healthy ! and safe with my family. No complains.

Here is my new project for my friend who is preserved flower artist collaborating with porcelain artist. I am happy to capture their beautiful artworks ! For more info about their work, details are here.

Pray for Japan

On March 11, Japan commemorates 10th year after the devastation by massive earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku region. We pray for Japan and all people who continue to strive for recovery, including my sister and her family in Iwaki, Fukushima.

Here in Canada, March 11 is now designated for National day of remembrance for COVID-19 victims. Prayer for whole world, hope for the future, and strength to go through together.

Open again !

As Ottawa has been returned to less covid restrictions, my photo-shooting activity is officially restarted. We will do our best to run the session safely and joyously ! Please let me know if you would like to reschedule or just book. Let’s start planning again for the memorable capture of yours !

Staying active !

The days with lock-down here in Ottawa are a bit different this time as we are allowed to exercise generously and walk the dogs as much as we can. So my simple life recently is filled with dog walking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, and just walking powerfully ! Snow and lots of sunshine give us a boost of energy too !
