Okinawa Wedding

I was extremely pleased that this summer both my husband and I were invited to my relative’s wedding in Okinawa, Japan. Not only it is super exciting to visit the vacation paradise, but also I was thrilled to be a secondary photographer  of the celebration day. My photos are very casual and candid shots compared to the official photographer’s but I had a great time entertaining guests and share the happiness together as a part of the family. I am so thankful to my cousins family giving me a wonderful opportunity to capture joyful moments.

Ottawa Woodwind Project is the group I am playing with for a few years now. My love for Clarinet has been stronger and stronger with this ensemble where is filled with passion for the woodwind music. Most of our concerts are small and highly interactive with audience. Our leader always makes sure the events are very informative and fun.

I am so lucky to be designated photographer for this group ! This is the photo session of most recently I had in last May.

Furisode and Haori Session

I had this wonderful photo session in this April for the newly wed couple. Her Furisdode, the long sleeve formal Kimono for women,  is originally owned by her mother and this is her first Furisode experience. Wearing the Haori Hakama, the Japanese formal clothing for men, is also her husband’s first traditional adventure.

I am very honoured to be part of this special occasion for her family.

Kanreki Project !

One of my goal for my photography is to capture fabulous mature women. Kanreki in Japanese means celebrating big milestone age Sixty. Traditionally in Japan red vest and red hat should be worn and we take a photo. That traditional vest and hat … it is not at all  fashionable  … So ! I started this project for those who hate to wear old-fashioned, unstylish attire and feel miserable. Instead, you can choose your favourite thing to wear, decorate, and accompany. This lady, a friend of mine loves her lovely dog Shih Tzu, balloons, custom-made vest, and this park nearby. So we had extremely fun and casual session !

It was such a magical and wonderful evening with several other friends and dogs as assistants.
